How far in advance can I cancel?

Cancellations are refunded on a fixed schedule based on how far ahead of your scheduled start time you cancel — more than 24 hours before service: 100% refund of the refundable service amount; 6–24 hours before service: 50% refund of the refundable service amount; less than 6 hours before service: no refund of the refundable service amount. The same schedule applies after the scheduled start time. Travel fees and tips follow the schedule shown in your cancellation preview.

Can I reschedule instead of cancelling?

Yes, subject to availability. You get one free reschedule when you ask more than 24 hours before the scheduled start, and the new date must fall within 30 days. After that, or for a later request, the cancellation schedule above applies unless your Care Partner accepts the change.

What if your Care Partner needs to cancel?

If something unavoidable comes up on our end, you'll be notified as quickly as possible and receive a full refund or priority rescheduling.

What is a Meet & Greet?

A Meet & Greet is an optional short introduction with your Care Partner before service day — you review routines, access instructions, and service-day questions. It is $15.00 for up to 20 minutes, and it is an introduction only, never a replacement for paid care. VIP members receive one complimentary Meet & Greet with a newly assigned Care Partner. Standard travel fees may apply outside the included service radius.

What should I have ready before the visit?

For pet visits: food, treats, leash, waste bags, and any medications clearly labeled. For child or elder care: emergency contacts, any allergy or medication info, and a brief note on routines. For house sitting: keys or entry code, alarm code, and Wi-Fi password.

Do I need to provide supplies?

Accepted Answer

Yes — please have the essentials for whoever or whatever is being cared for already on hand (food, medications, cleaning supplies, etc.). If something runs low, your Care Partner can pick it up and bill the cost back, or reach out for approval first.

Should I leave written instructions?

A short note covering routines, quirks, feeding amounts, and emergency contacts is always appreciated. The more detail you share, the smoother the visit goes.

Do pets need to be vaccinated?

Yes. All dogs and cats must be up to date on core vaccinations (rabies, DHPP for dogs, FVRCP for cats) and on regular flea/tick prevention.

Are aggressive or reactive pets accepted?

Pets with a history of biting or serious aggression toward people or other animals cannot be accepted, for everyone's safety. If your pet is reactive or anxious, please mention it during booking so it can be discussed honestly.

How is Pet Care priced, and what if I have more than one pet?

Pet Care is billed per visit by time block: Quick Care is $20 for up to 30 minutes and Extended Care is $35 for up to 90 minutes, for the first pet. Each additional pet adds $5, per visit. Example: 2 pets, 2 Quick Care visits = (2 × $20) + (2 × $5) = $50. Dog walking is included as a Pet Care activity — choose the time block that fits the walk.

Do you still offer dog walking?

Yes. Dog walking is part of Pet Care — just choose the time block that fits the walk (Quick Care for up to 30 minutes, Extended Care for up to 90 minutes) and tell us your dog's usual route and routine when you book.

Will my dog be walked off-leash?

Accepted Answer

No. All dogs are walked on-leash at all times, regardless of training, unless you've specifically arranged otherwise in a private fenced area.

Where do you serve?

Serving Locust, Midland, Oakboro, Stanfield, Concord, Albemarle, Mount Pleasant, and nearby communities within approximately 20 miles of Locust. Travel outside this area may be available for an additional fee.

Do you travel outside that area?

Accepted Answer

The first 20 miles from Locust, NC are included at no additional charge. Beyond that, a $5 travel fee applies for every additional 10 miles (rounded up). For example, 24 miles = $5, 34 miles = $10, 44 miles = $15. Your exact travel fee is calculated automatically from your service address and shown before you confirm.

Is there a minimum visit length?

Most in-home visits have a minimum of 30 minutes. Child care is billed with a 2-hour minimum. Drop-in pet visits are typically 30 minutes.

How is Child Care priced when I have more than one child?

Accepted Answer

Child Care is $25 per hour for the first child, plus $5 per hour for each additional child (2 children = $30/hour, 3 = $35/hour). A 2-hour minimum applies. Example: 2 children for 4 hours = 4 × $30 = $120.
